　　Environmental Protection No one，regardless of race, religion or nationality, can deny that the world we live in is becoming increasingly intolerable because of the effects of global warming. According to many experts, even greater impacts are still on the way. There are numerous causes for this problem. On one hand, human-related emissions of carbon into the atmosphere is causing, and will in the future cause, significant global warming according to the theory. On the other hand, the lack of knowledge about the importance of protecting environment hinders the solving of the problem. It is urgent that immediate and effective actions should be taken right away. First, more trees need to be planted to help improve and beautify the environment. Besides, stricter laws concerning global warming and irresponsible use of fuel resources have to be put into effect and achieved good results. In a word, there is a long way to go before we can take a comfortable world for granted again .

　　人有一些東西只有過去了才會覺得珍惜。

　　我一直想學好英語，但是就是沒有恒心不能堅持下去。當初，英語一次考不好，下一次我一定會加倍努力提高自己的英語，使得成績有一個大的改變。不過后來，也就沒有什么毅力了，也不知道是不是自己的方法有問題，反正成績提高的不快，可是也不會落下，就這樣一直到了大學。

　　如今，我又一次發(fā)現(xiàn)英語比什么科目都重要，上大學過英語四級最重要的'事情之一。但是我的英語水平太一般，每次的期末考試試卷難度不是很大，成績卻也不高，主要是因為上大學也不怎么學習英語了！但是考四級要得是自己的真實才能，平時不努力學習，想要憑借運氣，這就不科學了，而且我的運氣一直不好，所以我沒有想過不努力會有收獲。

　　一直都有人告訴我們英語四級考試是很困難的，過關率普遍不高，而且你又是一個不擅長英語的，就更不行了，所以要努力學習英語。老師與一個學長建議我們先買一個真題做一做，而且要努力。我現(xiàn)在才意識到，如果當初我的英語水平低的時候，就努力提高，現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)什么問題都沒有了吧！

　　哎！努力學英語吧，早日過四級！

　　Traffic safety is everybody's business. Records show that every year a lot of people die in traffic accidents. Some of the accidents are due to mechanical problems. However, most of them are the results of careless and reckless driving, and could be avoided. A lot of people disregard traffic signals and rules.

　　They drive regardless of speed limits, run through red lights, drive in the wrong direction, talk and laugh while driving, and turn as they wish without giving signals. They don't slow down while approaching crossroads. So many people violate traffic regulations that we cannot put too much emphasis on the importance of traffic safety. Only when everybody thinks traffic safety is everybody's business can we be safe driving on roads and walking on sidewalks.
