　　Last week, my elder sister gave birth to a baby girl. I was so happy for our family joining one more member. I helped my sister to look after the baby. She was so small but looked old, and I laughed. This girl cried now and then. I had no idea what to do. When she peed, I had to change her clothes. Raising a baby is not easy. My mother has two daughters. It must be really hard for her, especially me, I was so naughty when I was one year old. Being a mother is a big decision, as it means to sacrifice a lot. So neither farmers nor workers worked hard. China was on the edge of collapse.

　　Competition can stimulate people to try their best to do anything. For example， in 100-meter race， each sportsman runs as quickly as possible， trying to win the champion. The same things happen in our society and in our daily life. If a company wants to surpass others， it must compete with them. It must raise its efficiency. All the companies doing this will no doubt benefit the whole society and the whole human race. Being a student， I must compete with other students in our studies. I must study hard in all the fields so that I can be a useful man when I enter the society after graduation.

　　In spring， we can fly kites which are made by ourselves on the top of the hills. The kites fly very high.In summer， the trees are green and the grass is green， too. It is green everywhere on the hills.

　　There are so many wild apple trees on the hills. The wild apples are nice to eat. In autumn， the corns under and around the hills are ripe.

　　So we eat them almost every day. In winter， when it snows， all the ground is covered with snow. We can play with snow and sometimes we eat the clean snow with sugar.

　　In my hometown the sky is blue， the air is clean， the water is sweet and the people are very friendly. I love my hometown!
