　　The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start. Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters.

　　There is a rest period between the halves. During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other. The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　這周星期五，也就是二零一四年的三月七日。我參加了由cctv主辦的英語風(fēng)采大賽。其中，筆試部分真是太難了。

　　一進(jìn)大廳便是人山人海、“賽”人如織。擠都擠不過來。所以逼得我沒辦法，只好用參賽證和鉛筆袋護(hù)著頭，硬撞進(jìn)去。好不容易排上隊(duì)了，又被別人踩了好幾腳，哎~我真倒霉��！“��！”我心想，“我得仔細(xì)聽著工作人員有沒有點(diǎn)到我的名字才行。”于是，我豎起耳朵仔細(xì)的聽著。忽然我好像是聽到自己的名字了，便急急忙忙擠了過去，到了前面，“哦，你就是高明睿。請(qǐng)抽簽吧！”我隨便從箱子里抽了一個(gè)號(hào)碼牌，“二十二號(hào)！”我先是一愣，繼而是嘆了一口氣，“二十二號(hào)，挺靠后的'�！�

　　過了一會(huì)兒，一個(gè)工作人員把我們這二十幾個(gè)人全都領(lǐng)到了二樓一個(gè)教室里面。一共有兩張卷子，一張是對(duì)你的英語學(xué)習(xí)情況進(jìn)行了解，比如：你讀英語報(bào)紙嗎？A、經(jīng)常B、偶爾C、只讀過一次D、從未讀過。讓你選擇并在A、B、C、D前面打?qū)μ?hào)。接著又發(fā)了第二張?jiān)嚲韮�，太難了。第一、二題是聽力部分。第一題是他說一個(gè)句子讓你選A、Yes,heisB、Yes,sheisC、Yes,theyis.第二題是他說一個(gè)故事，讓你選試卷上面寫得是對(duì)還是錯(cuò)。我們讓工作人員放了五遍都沒怎么聽懂。

　　過了一會(huì)兒，我們把筆試做完后，開始靜靜地背誦我們準(zhǔn)備的故事。然后，工作人員覺得A1組已經(jīng)結(jié)束了，就把我們五人一組五人一組的帶下去進(jìn)行才藝表演。當(dāng)你背誦完后（如果你還沒背完就到時(shí)間了就會(huì)讓你停�。�，外教就會(huì)給你提供一張照片并提問你一至三個(gè)問題，如果你答不上來，外教就會(huì)對(duì)你說：“thankyou.”

　　老師通知我今天下午去迎澤區(qū)少年宮參加英語口語比賽，我和媽媽中午一點(diǎn)半就從家中出發(fā)了，天氣真熱呀！

　　一走進(jìn)大門就看見許多同學(xué)在排隊(duì)，我拿著參賽證報(bào)了到，一位老師把我安排在最前面，我看了看周圍，有的同學(xué)拿著稿子在那兒讀，看著他們那樣，我也默默地把稿子在心中念了一次，然后邁著沉重的腳步到了參賽大廳，上一組的同學(xué)出來，我們這一組就開始了，只見我前面的同學(xué)讀的很流利，我很緊張，生怕自己中間卡了殼。輪到我上場了，我的緊張就像一陣風(fēng)一樣飄走了，我大方地走上臺(tái)，開始講述我的演講稿，我講的也很流利，還加了幾個(gè)動(dòng)作，說完后還和評(píng)委說了謝謝。評(píng)委老師根據(jù)我的內(nèi)容用英語向我提問三個(gè)問題，我也用英語回答了老師，從評(píng)委老師臉上的表情看他們對(duì)我感覺很好。

　　明天就可以在網(wǎng)上查我成績了，我希望能進(jìn)入復(fù)賽，然后進(jìn)入決賽。

　　媽媽的'話：睿參加是第六屆全國英語口語大賽山西選拔賽，準(zhǔn)備的不是很充足，老師一共輔導(dǎo)了兩次，我們就在家讓睿多練習(xí)，前一段時(shí)間要期末考試就沒怎么管，也不知道什么時(shí)候比賽，老師通知比賽我們才管了管，上去自我感覺還不錯(cuò)，今天電話通知睿進(jìn)入了復(fù)賽，7月8、9號(hào)比賽，我覺得已經(jīng)很不錯(cuò)了，不管能否進(jìn)入決賽已經(jīng)不重要了，重要是過程，讓孩子體會(huì)一下比賽過程我覺得比拿獎(jiǎng)更為的重要。

　　When I grew up, my father and mother dare not allow me to play outside. But sometimes when we had time they would bring me to the parks, movies and went swimming.
