　　There are so many sports we can play these days, but among them, I like to play basketball best. I learnt to play it when I was 11 years old.

　　Playing basketball can bring me some good friends, they have something in common with me, they always ask me to play it with them; And we can always share our skills together. We learnt what teamwork is from playing basketball. Sometimes we watch NBA games together, my favourite NBA star is Yao Ming, he is very modest, too.

　　We usually play basketball after school and on the weekends as well. I feel very happy when I pass my ball to my pals. We always cheer when we win the games.

　　I hope I can play basketball as well as Yao Ming someday in the future.

　　這周星期五，也就是二零一四年的三月七日。我參加了由cctv主辦的英語風(fēng)采大賽。其中，筆試部分真是太難了。

　　一進(jìn)大廳便是人山人海、“賽”人如織。擠都擠不過來。所以逼得我沒辦法，只好用參賽證和鉛筆袋護(hù)著頭，硬撞進(jìn)去。好不容易排上隊(duì)了，又被別人踩了好幾腳，哎~我真倒霉��！“啊！”我心想，“我得仔細(xì)聽著工作人員有沒有點(diǎn)到我的名字才行�！庇谑�，我豎起耳朵仔細(xì)的`聽著。忽然我好像是聽到自己的名字了，便急急忙忙擠了過去，到了前面，“哦，你就是高明睿。請(qǐng)抽簽吧！”我隨便從箱子里抽了一個(gè)號(hào)碼牌，“二十二號(hào)！”我先是一愣，繼而是嘆了一口氣，“二十二號(hào)，挺靠后的�！�

　　過了一會(huì)兒，一個(gè)工作人員把我們這二十幾個(gè)人全都領(lǐng)到了二樓一個(gè)教室里面。一共有兩張卷子，一張是對(duì)你的英語學(xué)習(xí)情況進(jìn)行了解，比如：你讀英語報(bào)紙嗎？A、經(jīng)常B、偶爾C、只讀過一次D、從未讀過。讓你選擇并在A、B、C、D前面打?qū)μ?hào)。接著又發(fā)了第二張?jiān)嚲韮�，太難了。第一、二題是聽力部分。第一題是他說一個(gè)句子讓你選A、Yes,heisB、Yes,sheisC、Yes,theyis.第二題是他說一個(gè)故事，讓你選試卷上面寫得是對(duì)還是錯(cuò)。我們讓工作人員放了五遍都沒怎么聽懂。

　　過了一會(huì)兒，我們把筆試做完后，開始靜靜地背誦我們準(zhǔn)備的故事。然后，工作人員覺得A1組已經(jīng)結(jié)束了，就把我們五人一組五人一組的帶下去進(jìn)行才藝表演。當(dāng)你背誦完后（如果你還沒背完就到時(shí)間了就會(huì)讓你停住），外教就會(huì)給你提供一張照片并提問你一至三個(gè)問題，如果你答不上來，外教就會(huì)對(duì)你說：“thankyou.”

Fifteen minutes before my turn, I picked my topic and prepared for it. I wrote down the outlines and organized what I was going to say. However, when I stood in front of all judges and students, I was extremely nervous. My mind was totally empty. Then I took a deep breath to relax myself and started my speech. The result was not as good as I expected, but I preferred to regard it as a challenge to myself, whose process was the most important for me. I can learn a lot from this contest. 　　Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest

　　Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.

　　And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.

　　After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.
