　　準(zhǔn)備了好久，終于到了英語比賽的日子了。媽媽帶我去化妝店把我打扮得像個小公主。我約了萬詩琪去給我打氣，我們還接了夏老師一起去看我的表演。

　　到了杭州，我們在賽場內(nèi)看了許多小朋友的表演，他們都很棒，我相信我一定能像他們那樣棒的。在那里等了好長的時間，終于輪到我了。當(dāng)主持人叫到我的.名字時，我的心情一下子緊張起來了。走到臺上我想到了媽媽的話：“把下面的評委當(dāng)成是班里的同學(xué)，他們在聽我領(lǐng)讀英語呢！”想到這兒，我的心情一下子就平靜了下來，順利的表演完了準(zhǔn)備好的節(jié)目。聽到觀眾的掌聲，別提我心里有多高興了。夏老師還夸我的表演很不錯，媽媽也說我的表演非常棒。我克服了我膽小的毛病，以后我會對自己更加有信心。

　　比賽在大家的掌聲結(jié)束了，我?guī)н@喜悅的心情回家了。

　　Once a year a field and track sports meet is held in our school. This year it took place on 22nd. Over six hundred people, including teachers and students, entered for this meet.

　　It was the last day of the sports meet. At about three o＇clock in the afternoon, there came a voice from the speaker:“Next item is the girl＇s 400-metre relay race. Runners please get everything ready!”O(jiān)n hearing this, the four girl runners of our class, Helen, Jane, Nora and Dinah, gathered quickly by the track and did some warming-up exercises①. With strong determination, Dinah said to her teammates, “We should win honour for our class and put up a good show.” After some time, teams from six other classes were entered. “On your marks,”the starter ② ordered. Then came the pistol shot③. At the sound of it, the first runners shot from their starting points. Many eyes turned to a thin sixteen-year-old girl named Helen who started very fast and became the first one. Soon the second runners already moving, grabbed ④ the sticks and raced on. Nora, the third runner had the stick and took the lead. Already running, Dinah reached for the stick. She was flying three or four steps ahead of the others. Dinah urged herself, “Faster! Faster!” We cheered for her, shouting at the top of our voice. Bit by bit, she pulled quite ahead. It was too late for the others to close the gap and we all sighed with relief. At the finishing line, Dinah was the first one that reached the end.

　　At that moment, nothing would have been more exciting. We laughed, shouted, and we were very proud of our heroines ⑤. We praised them for their good team work⑥.

　　When we at last received our certificate of award⑦, everyone in our class was smiling a happy smile. Though it was different from the champion of Olympic Games ⑧, we all thought that it was no less exciting.

　　I learned a lot from their speech. They had different plans for the future. But as they challenged the future, they had something in common,that is, they all made full use of the present. The present is the base of the future.

　　After the contest, I knew I needed a plan for my future as well. I must grasp my present time to realize my plan. I won't idle away the valuable time any more. I'm determined to study hard and improve myself. I will prepare to challenge my future.

　　今天下午我們學(xué)校在多功能教室舉辦了英語演講比賽，它的題目為“挑戰(zhàn)未采”。我作為觀眾到了比賽現(xiàn)場。
