　　老師通知我今天下午去迎澤區(qū)少年宮參加英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)比賽，我和媽媽中午一點(diǎn)半就從家中出發(fā)了，天氣真熱呀！

　　一走進(jìn)大門(mén)就看見(jiàn)許多同學(xué)在排隊(duì)，我拿著參賽證報(bào)了到，一位老師把我安排在最前面，我看了看周?chē)�，有的同學(xué)拿著稿子在那兒讀，看著他們那樣，我也默默地把稿子在心中念了一次，然后邁著沉重的腳步到了參賽大廳，上一組的同學(xué)出來(lái)，我們這一組就開(kāi)始了，只見(jiàn)我前面的同學(xué)讀的.很流利，我很緊張，生怕自己中間卡了殼。輪到我上場(chǎng)了，我的緊張就像一陣風(fēng)一樣飄走了，我大方地走上臺(tái)，開(kāi)始講述我的演講稿，我講的也很流利，還加了幾個(gè)動(dòng)作，說(shuō)完后還和評(píng)委說(shuō)了謝謝。評(píng)委老師根據(jù)我的內(nèi)容用英語(yǔ)向我提問(wèn)三個(gè)問(wèn)題，我也用英語(yǔ)回答了老師，從評(píng)委老師臉上的表情看他們對(duì)我感覺(jué)很好。

　　明天就可以在網(wǎng)上查我成績(jī)了，我希望能進(jìn)入復(fù)賽，然后進(jìn)入決賽。

　　媽媽的話：睿參加是第六屆全國(guó)英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)大賽山西選拔賽，準(zhǔn)備的不是很充足，老師一共輔導(dǎo)了兩次，我們就在家讓睿多練習(xí)，前一段時(shí)間要期末考試就沒(méi)怎么管，也不知道什么時(shí)候比賽，老師通知比賽我們才管了管，上去自我感覺(jué)還不錯(cuò)，今天電話通知睿進(jìn)入了復(fù)賽，7月8、9號(hào)比賽，我覺(jué)得已經(jīng)很不錯(cuò)了，不管能否進(jìn)入決賽已經(jīng)不重要了，重要是過(guò)程，讓孩子體會(huì)一下比賽過(guò)程我覺(jué)得比拿獎(jiǎng)更為的重要。

　　Since I was small, I like to play basketball, because I was effected by my father, he likes to watch basketball game so much, I will watch the basketball game with him. So when I went to school, I joined the basketball team in my class, we made up of a basketball team. Last week, we had our first match.

　　I was asked to play in the first time, I felt so nervous, I am so afraid that I could not cooperate with my team well. When the match started, I watched the basketball and moved as the ball flied, I forgot my job, I was asked to cover the team leader. I recognized my mistake, I changed my move, at last, I covered our captain successfully, our team won the game.

　　I learned so much from this match, team work comes first.

　　Did you ever want to win first prize in a reading competition? Maybe or maybe not.But how would you feel if you thought you had done really well and then didn't? You would feel really awful…

　　On March 22 nd we had a reading competition in a high school. That day, I was very nervous about the competition. I thought and thought…..and I said to myself,Austin, don’t worry it will be fine. After a while, my mom took me to that high school.

　　When I got into the seat of the car, my stomach started to hurt, but I knew that sort of thing will happen all the time during a stressful event like a reading competition. Later, after a few hours had past, it was my turn to walk up to the stage and say my lines. But wait! I looked over and noticed the judge wasn't looking at me- it was if she didn't respect me! We learned how important eye contact is during our assembly.

　　After I finished, the guests gave me great praise. I thought I would have a good mark.Then came the time to give out the certificates. When the person read Frobel ElementaryI thought it was me…..but it was my classmate Cindy. She had received second place. Then they read the first prize and I was disappointed it wasn’t me. I was very sad…… but……

　　I must tell everyone in here, when you go to a competition win or lose you shouldn't care. You should care about whether or not you did your best. You need to ask yourself- Did you learn anything for entering this competition? Do you have the courage to read a story to a huge audience?

　　Just remember always try to do your best, and the results will still be beautiful!
