　　近些日子，我報(bào)名參加了大同市英語(yǔ)翻譯比賽。由于復(fù)習(xí)時(shí)間較短，而題的數(shù)量多、難度大，所以，要想獲得優(yōu)秀的成績(jī)，只得“勤學(xué)苦練”了。這不，今天就要考試了，經(jīng)過前幾天“不分晝夜”的“埋頭苦學(xué)”，我已準(zhǔn)備充分了。俗話說：“臨陣磨槍，不快也光�！庇辛诉@句話，也讓我信心百倍。

　　今天早晨，我和媽媽早早地趕到現(xiàn)場(chǎng)，坐在考場(chǎng)外等候比賽的開始。翻譯共分兩個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)：口譯40分，筆譯60分。我們又復(fù)習(xí)了一會(huì)兒，比賽就開始了。首先進(jìn)行的是筆譯，我領(lǐng)到了答題卡和卷子之后，先粗略地瀏覽了一下卷子，“哇”這么簡(jiǎn)單的題?不會(huì)吧!這種題對(duì)我來說簡(jiǎn)直是張飛吃豆芽——小菜一碟!我有些沾沾自喜，可警覺心卻告誡我，千萬不可粗心大意呀。我立馬醒悟了過來，可萬萬不可輕敵呀!于是，我開始小心翼翼地跨越這片充滿陷阱和“攔路虎”的森林。不一會(huì)兒，“堡壘”都被我攻克了，我又一絲不茍地檢查了兩遍“死亡沼澤”，終于堅(jiān)定地把卷子交給了老師。我抹了一把汗，就出去等待下一環(huán)節(jié)了。

　　口譯很快就開始了，可是等了一個(gè)多小時(shí)才終于輪到了我們這一組，我們五人進(jìn)場(chǎng)后，便都紛紛對(duì)序入座，當(dāng)前兩位選手考完后，便輪我上場(chǎng)了。我感到非常緊張，仿佛心臟經(jīng)過了胃、腸、肝和肺，轉(zhuǎn)了整整一圈又回到了原來的位置上。我讓自己努力保持鎮(zhèn)定，但腿還在抖個(gè)不停，回答得有些結(jié)結(jié)巴巴，甚至把七點(diǎn)鐘說成八點(diǎn)鐘，把那個(gè)說成了這個(gè)。我心想：這下可糟了，一定取不了好成績(jī)了。那樣的話我付出的辛苦不就付之東流了嗎?想到這兒，我的'手心不禁泌出了汗�！艾F(xiàn)在開始評(píng)分!”，我被一個(gè)聲音從思緒中拉了出來，這時(shí)我的心差點(diǎn)兒從嘴里掉出來�？勺屑�(xì)一看，結(jié)果令我大吃一驚。兩個(gè)40分剩下的是39.5、39、38.5，去掉一個(gè)最高分和一個(gè)最低分，最后得分39.5分。那時(shí)我簡(jiǎn)直驚呆了，直到老師和同學(xué)們向我道賀時(shí)，我才回過神，爆發(fā)出興奮的歡呼。

　　雖然我這次取得了小小的成績(jī)，但我一定要在今后學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的過程中再接再厲，一定要多聽、多看、多說、多寫，讓英語(yǔ)成為我不可缺少的伙伴，爭(zhēng)取更好的成績(jī)。

　　When early man invented clothes,he probably wanted to keep warm.I am sure he never intended that it should become as elaborate as it has become today.For many a year,traditional clothes and modern clothes have been in competition as to which of them make the wearer more beautiful.But it does seem that a lot of modern clothes are simpler and more practical.Perhaps we are moving back to the age of cavemen who wore clothes for practical purposes.

　　Modern clothes are definitely more practical as against traditional clothes.Almost all people now wear modern clothes.Nowadays even more and more people wear casual clothes.Jeans are everywhere except at formal parties.T-shirts are common,too.They look comfortable and fashionable.However,there are also a lot of people who take the trouble to dress well in formal clothes like shirts,trousers and suits.I find them smart,too.

　　But then,it is important to hold on to our topic.In my opinion,each type of dress has its place.Modern clothes are ideal for most situations,while casual clothes are worn more freely.As to traditional clothes,they must be worn for special occasions

　　The game was scheduled to start at start at eight o’clock on Friday night. Long before that, people began to arrive at the gymnasium.

　　By seven-thirty the seats were almost filled. The school band was there; they wore yellow and black uniforms. They started to play at about a quarter to eight. Everybody stood up, and the people sang. The game was about to start. Two teams ran out to the floor. The referee blew his whistle, and the game started. A basketball game is divided into two halves, and each half is divided into two quarters.

　　There is a rest period between the halves. During the first five minutes of the second half, the score was tied. From then on, the game was very exciting. First one team made a basket, then the other. The people cheered, and everybody was wondering which team was going to win.

　　Now I would like to introduce the rules for the contest

　　Today's competition has two phases: The first phase is a 5 minutes’ speech show, which composes 60% of the score. In this part, the contestants are supposed to make a 3 minutes’ impromptu speech according to the topics , and then they will answer the questions raised by our judges, and the time limit is 2 minutes.

　　And the second phase is the role play of each contestant, which takes 40% of the final score. Every one of them will be given 5 minutes to display their role they selected beforehand.

　　After the performance by the contestants, our judges will give fair judgment according to the comprehensive performance of each contestant. We will have one champion, two second prizes winners, three third prize and the rest contestants will get the Excellence Award. I wish all of them achieve a lot, and have good luck.

I thought, "I must run faster, and win glory for class 2.8." Later, our class seemed to come second.
