　　前兩天，學(xué)校高年級舉行了英語演講比賽，我作為班上的代表之一，前去觀摩。

　　這次比賽無論是主持還是演講，都是全英文的。東看看，西看看，竟來了不少我認(rèn)識的人。學(xué)校的幾位老師來做評委，還有一位外教呢！

　　比賽開始。首先，是兩位主持人一番簡短的介紹，然后選手開始挨個兒上臺。每個人都有一份課件，上面是演講內(nèi)容，選手要流暢地背出稿子，才能得高分。他們一口流利的英語，聽得我云里霧里。我不由得感嘆道，這就是差距�。〔贿^根據(jù)課件上的英文，我還是認(rèn)出了一些單詞。

　　選手的情況也不同：有的'一口英語說得頭頭是道，聽得人一愣一愣的；有的上了臺過于緊張，忘了詞，又下來整理整理思緒再上臺；也有的背得不錯，卻出了一點(diǎn)小插曲的……可謂是千姿百態(tài)。

　　選手們講的內(nèi)容各不相同：有的流暢地講了那些經(jīng)典的故事；有的介紹了自己喜歡的動物或東西；還有的講了自己從一句話或者一件事中感悟的道理……內(nèi)容各不相同。

　　通過這次比賽，我深切地體會到了：人外有人，天外有天。我要更加努力地學(xué)習(xí)英語喲！

　　We are going to have an English-speaking contest for senior students so as to improve our oral English. It will be held in auditorium on the 5th floor in the teaching building at 4:00pm. , June 9th. Those who want to take part in the contest are supposed to come to sign up at the office of the students’ Union before May 25th. All the senior students are welcome to join in the contest. The first five winners will be given prizes.

　　I am an active girl, and I like playing sports very much. My favourite sport is swimming. Today my topic is To introduce my favourite sport. When I am swimming in the pool, I am very happy. I look like a lovely fish in the pond. I enjoy swimming, because swimming can make me strong and healthy. It can also bring me a lot of happiness.

　　I swim three times a week. Most often I swim in my school. I feel very happy when I swim in school with my friends. I often go to swim with my good friend Lily. She likes swimming,too. And she is very good at it. She always swims better than me. Sometimes I swim in the swimming club near my home during summer holidays. Swimming is not so hard as some people imagine. But many young people dream to become big stars like Sun Yang, which is difficult because you should, first of all, be gifted and then have a lot of practice from early age in order to become a very good player.
