英語作文 篇1
題目:
My View on Major Ranking
1. 當(dāng)今社會(huì),專業(yè)排名很流行
2. 各人看法不同
3. 我自己的觀點(diǎn)
范文:
My View on Major Ranking
In recent years, it is very popular to rankmajors. Major ranking lists based on a variety ofcriteria can be found on some educational websitesor newspapers. These lists have great influence onstudents and many of them have come to rely onthese lists to make their major-choice decisions.
To this phenomenon, people’s opinions vary from each other. Some think that the resultsof the ranking are helpful for high school students to choose a major field of study, e.g., somelists tell people what majors will lead to decent jobs after graduation. Some people, however, believe that many lists are actually useless. Rankings are only about numbers and they do nottell you anything about the distinct nature of the major. Besides, some majors may be listed ashot majors when students enter colleges, but will be unpopular when they graduate.
As far as I’m concerned, we should not over-stress major ranking. It should beremembered that rankings can play a big role in the selection of a major but it should not bethe only criterion. Many factors including your own perception of the major should matter inyour final choice.

英語作文 篇3
"…I want to know"
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, and if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, and if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being a human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you're telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself, and if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
I want to know if you can be faithful and trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see the beauty even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life from its presence.
I want to know if your can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon "Yes".
It doesn't interest me to know where you live, or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children.
It doesn't interest me who you are, or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else fails away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

In the middle of the room, there is my bed. It’s not so big, but it’s very comfortable. Every night, I lay on the bed and have a good dream. On the right of the bed, there is my desk and chair. They’re in front of the window. My computer is on the desk. There is a lamp on the desk, too. I can do my homework here and play computer games.
My bookshelf is on the left of the bed. There are a lot of storybooks and picture books in the shelf. I like them very much.
Not everyone has a bedroom. I’m very lucky, because I have a very beautiful bedroom. I’ll try my best to keep it clean and tidy.
英語作文 篇5
Faced with failure, do not give up the effort. Some people will be desperate for failure, dare not do any effort, or even prefer to end their lives because that they do not want to face their own failure.
Failure will bring pain, but it does not mean there is never again the opportunity to start, does not mean the end of life, but the next life of the beginning. We can learn from the failure of experience and lessons, to re-plan and goals, and strive to stand up and move forward, rather than falling the abyss of failure, so that they can not stand up again, see the light.
