　　My busy vacation

　　I had a busy summer vacation. I always did my homework. It was boring. But I thought it was good for my study. I studied every day. That made me feel very tired, but I was very happy. I usually read books. For example, English books, Chinese books and Math books. I sometimes watched the Olympic Games. I often played basketball and ran. I thought it was good for my health. I hardly ever listened to music. I never played computer gams. Because I thought it was not good for my study. What a busy summer vacation I had!

　　為了豐富我們的業(yè)余生活，為了提高我們的英語對話能力，我們學校舉辦了一個外語節(jié)活動，活動的內(nèi)容豐富多彩，有唱歌、小品、購物。但給我留下印象最深刻就是芝麻街購物。它的特點是，購買時并不是用國語來說，而是用英語來表達的。

　　星期五下午，我們503班排著整齊的隊伍來到大禮堂。一進大禮堂，只見里面人山人海，擠得水泄不通。我觀察四周，大禮堂到處可見五彩繽紛的帶子、牌子。售貨員正滔滔不絕地向顧客介紹著產(chǎn)品，好做出買賣。我好不容易走了進去，一件件玲朗滿目的商品，看得我眼花繚亂，挑選什么好呢？每一樣都是那么的好看、實用。我猶豫了一會兒，來到文具類的地方，左挑挑，右拿拿，終于選中了一件商品——學校的.袋子。我舉起袋子，問售貨員：“How much is it?”(這個多少元)。

　　“Two yuan.”(2元)。售貨員馬上回答我。我拿出2張1元的學校專用的錢，遞給了她。她拿起一個紙袋給了我。后來我又挑選了許多東西，有紙杯、筆記本、筆。我高高興興地滿載而歸。

　　通過這次有趣的英語節(jié)——芝麻街購物活動，不僅豐富了我們的業(yè)余生活使我們從中得到快樂，也提高了我們的英語對話能力。我希望學校還能多搞幾次這樣的活動。

　　Last year my father lost his job. At that time my parents felt a bit sad. I encouraged my father and said I was old enough and could do something to help. In order to help my parents, I took a part time job on weekends in the KFC near my home.

　　Luckily, it didn't take long time for my father to find a new job in a company. With the money I earned through working I bought a pair of new shoes for my father to celebrate the good news. My parents were deeply moved.

　　We are a happy family whether we are rich or poor.
